In creating this painting, I delved into the vivid textures and emotive contrasts between hope and introspection. The figure, a young girl in traditional attire, represents contemplation and forward-looking aspiration. She gazes towards the light through an ancient, sprawling tree—symbolizing wisdom and connection to roots. This artwork embodies a journey of self-discovery and the brilliance of natural cycles, aiming to inspire thoughts of resilience and growth in every viewer's home.
With this picture, I’m opening up a new cycle of my work that I’m doing in a new country, in Ecuador. Why, living in Ecuador now, do I thank Japan for this painting? When I left Russia for Ecuador, my two paintings flew from Russia in exactly the opposite direction - to Japan, to their new owners. This little Japanese girl is a symbol of a bright angel of fate. She meets the sun of a new day of her new beautiful future.
